Danica Beck obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences and First Nations Studies from the University of British Columbia in 2014. After completing her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2018, Danica joined the Deer Lake Law Group as a Summer Law Student. Danica worked closely with the lawyers on Family matters, Civil disputes, and Immigration files.
Her interest in the practice area of immigration began prior to attending Law School – between 2014 to 2015, Danica was employed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC); and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB), where she was responsible for scheduling, application processing, review and editing of decisions and assisting Members during refugee appeal hearings.
Danica completed her Articles at a boutique corporate law firm in Vancouver, where she gained experience in several practice areas including civil litigation.
In 2020, Danica rejoined the Deer Lake Law Group as an Associate Lawyer. She continues to focus her law practice on Family Law, Civil Law, and Immigration. Her CIC and IRB experience give her Immigration clients an added advantage, especially when a Judicial Appeal is required.
For all her clients, she looks for practical and cost-effective ways of addressing the conflict and unresolved matters.
