Olivia (Ji Won) Lee graduated, with Distinction, from the University of Waterloo, earning a bachelor’s degree in Honours Mathematics and Chartered Accountancy with Finance Option (Co-op). She worked part-time as Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo. She extended her knowledge in her field by completing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
Before pursing her legal career, Olivia worked as a Staff Accountant in public accounting firms, and as an Associate Project Manager at a global benchmarking firm, based in Toronto.
She earned a Juris Doctor from Western University. As a law student, Olivia worked as a Caseworker at Community Legal Services and volunteered for a family law project of Pro Bono Students Canada. She was a final winner of Legate and Associates Medical Malpractice Moot Competition and was a student judge for the Lerners Cup Moot Competition. Olivia completed a semester at the Faculty of Law at National University of Singapore. Once called to the bar in Ontario, Olivia practiced corporate/commercial and real estate law, where her accounting experience proved to be a huge benefit to her clients.
Now practicing law in British Columbia, Olivia focuses on Family Law disputes, Estate Planning / Probate, and Immigration. Again, her financial knowledge, and close attention to detail helps families get through life’s most challenging situations.
When time permits, Olivia takes the opportunity to travel and meet new people. To date, she has completed numerous backpacking trips in Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America, but her biggest adventure so far has been in Cusco, Peru – a climb reaching Humantay Lake (elevation of 5900m) and a snow-capped peak of the Vilcabamba Range of the Salkantay mountain (elevation of 4650m), following a section of the Incan trail to Machu Picchu.
Olivia is fluent in both spoken and written Korean.
